_Applicants under this announcement will be considered for a temporary appointment. Incumbent normally works 3-4 months (from as early as late April to as late as mid October) Dates are flexible depending on the school schedule of successful applicants._
The full performance of this position will remain at the grade selected. Promotions will require further competition.
Completion of this Internship will not lead to permanent or term employment with the Bureau of Reclamation.

Reclamation is seeking a student looking for an opportunity to capitalize on his/her expertise as an Office Aid. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. As a member of the summer office aid staff you will help enhance the image of the Grand Coulee Dam by words and actions. The successful applicants for the position will significantly affect the success and achievement of the visitor program.

Student Definition : Students must currently be enrolled in a degree program (highschool, college ect.) and taking at least a half-time course load (as defined by the institution in which you are enrolled). You must be in good academic standing (at least a 2.0 GPA or greater on a 4.0 scale for the most recent grading period and accumulative GPA); be at least 16 years of age; a U.S. citizen or U.S. National; and meet the qualification requirements of the position. You must continue to meet these eligibility requirements throughout the duration of your appointment under the Pathways Internship Program.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
